What a journey w a best friend…Long before underarmour was a GLOBAL brand, we were a startup in grandmas basement in Washington, D.C. Back in the late 90’s…not many people were willing to take a chance on UA - especially not outside the U.S.! shoeyasuda / Shuichi Yasuda (“Shoe”) & Dome Corporation in Tokyo, Japan were the exception. In what began as essentially a cold call asking if Dome could buy UA compression gear to sell in Japan - we simply asked “if he had a credit card and could pay immediately…”🤓, flourished into a life-long partnership where my partner and great friend, gave UA one of our first big breaks…by believing in the Brand. This month Dome will be joining the Itochu corporation itochuintl and evolving the UA partnership to maximize our combined growth.
