Waking up before my family (most days, chileee) is such a sacred time to me! It gives me an opportunity to get ahead of the day, emotions and heat to do things that fill my cup and pour into my spirit. It also gives me a chance to connect with God and create first thing, which are sadly 2 things that quickly get pushed to the wayside when I just roll into responsibilities for the day. I’ve also noticed that on days I don’t do this, I feel so frazzled when I wake up. The kids come in telling me they’re hungry, it’s a bajillion degrees outside, the dog needs to go for a walk and I still have a to do list! So as a wife, mom of 4 + a doggie, creative and business owner, I’ve recognized that in addition to going to bed at a decent time, I gotta get up.
