I was thrilled to spend my morning at the legendary undergroundbooks today. Underground Books is located in Sacramento, California, and is part of the 40 Acres Cultural Center in historical Oak Park. UNDERGROUND is not only a bookstore, it’s a charitable nonprofit and part of St. HOPE, which is why they are known as the “literary hub of Oak Park!” From celebrating black authors and uplifting diverse voices, to providing arts & literacy programs, to offering learning opportunities for the community, Underground Books is leading the literacy path and giving access to education and knowledge to the community.
