Jazz legend Branford Marsalis has been named Wake Forest’s 2025 Maya Angelou Artist-in-Residence. A three-time Grammy winner and NEA Jazz Master, Marsalis brings a legacy of innovation, artistry and community engagement to campus. His residency continues the tradition of honoring artists whose work inspires connection and understanding, true to Dr. Maya Angelou’s legacy.
