Why Extensive Tempo works?
The high volume low rest:
⏱️builds your aerobic capacity (your ability to sustain longer runs— your legs and lungs)
⏱️builds lactic threshold (how well you can keep running fast while tired)
⏱️develops speed endurance (how well you can maintain your speed past 60m)
⏱️allows extensive form/technique work (a lot of time to clean up mistakes and improve efficiency)
⏱️helps establish a rhythm/cadence over the selected distance (makes covering 100m seem a lot easier and shorter over time)
