What liquids can you take in your hand luggage?
Some UK airports, including Gatwick, Birmingham and Newcastle, now let you leave liquids in your bag at security, thanks to new 3D CT scanners. However, the 100ml limit still applies everywhere.
Here’s a full lit of UK airports with the new scanners:
Aberdeen
Edinburgh
Leeds Bradford
Luton
Newcastle
Southend
Bournemouth
Bristol
Cardiff
East Midlands
Inverness
Liverpool
Newquay
In some instances, you may be allowed to carry more than 100ml of liquids through airport security. This includes duty free liquids and medication.
You can bring as much baby milk, sterilised water, and food as you need, even if it exceeds 100ml. You can also carry up to 2 litres of breast milk (unfrozen) in your hand luggage, even if you’re not travelling with a baby.
