Many people have asked me how I continued my barbering journey, so I had to start asking myself how I did it. Because although in my mind it’s as simple as still having the will to just live my life, to others it’s not that simple. I guess in a sense I had to be obsessed. What does it mean to be obsessed? A persistent, intrusive, and often distressing preoccupation with an idea, feeling, or object. I couldn’t bare the thought of being reliant on others for life necessities, for income, for anything really. I genuinely HAD to get back to something of a normal life and be successful no matter the circumstances. I got obsessed. If there was just a way for me to cut hair with my everyday tools again and get back to what I was used to, I knew I could make something bigger of myself.
