The Packers have quietly been working on contract extensions for both OT Zach Tom and LB Quay Walker. Despite declining the price tag of Walker’s 5th-year option this spring, the Packers have still intended to secure an extension that keeps him in Green Bay for the foreseeable future. In an interview with cheeseheadtv Packers GM Brian Gutekunst heavily alluded to locking up Tom long-term saying: “We’ve had really healthy conversations with Zach about locking him up, and certainly that’s something we’d like to do. These things take time and they never happen very quickly.
