Memphis Artist Spotlight: Andre Miller
🖌️ “I want you to tell my story…”
That message sparked a 4-year journey for Memphis artist Andre Miller, whose latest series, “The Redemption of a Delta Bluesman: Robert Johnson,” is a breathtaking tribute to one of the most legendary — and misunderstood — blues musicians of all time.
📍 Gallery Albertine (55 S. Main), named after Andre’s mother, now houses the full 29-piece collection — one painting for each of Robert Johnson’s recorded songs. The work blends blues, spirituality, tragedy, and redemption in a powerful visual story.
💡 Johnson appears throughout the series as a faceless, blue-tinged spirit — watching, reflecting, and grieving. His journey is not just about music, but about legacy, loss, and moving on.
