This week's featured childhood cancer hero is Tony Salerno!
#cancersurvivormonth
Tony is as resilient as they come. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was just 2-and-a-half years old, and had immediately begun chemotherapy, surgery, stem cell transplants, and radiation treatments. These all helped him fight but also left him with an extended list of long-term side effects. When he needed a kidney transplant, he then had to fight a lymphoma that developed. Despite everything he's been dealt, today, he is positive and thriving! He is in college and acts as a Hero Ambassador with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, sharing his story and making a difference for all kids with cancer.
