Construction is underway at Carrboro’s South Green shopping center for the South Green Flats – a venture aiming to fill a housing inventory gap and the first condominium project in the community in 15 years.
The developers and real estate team held a “Going Vertical” event at Two Hills Drive on Tuesday morning to celebrate the first structures on the site being built. The project will include three buildings with a total of 63 units — 57 for-sale condos and seven for-sale commercial spaces — on more than two acres at the eastern-most side of the development off South Greensboro Road. The effort is led by the Legacy Real Property Group, which ushered the project through its development and permitting, as well as Terra Nova Global Properties, Tise-Kiester Architects, and Ballentine Associates.
