#Juneteenth (June 19), Beyoncé wore a Buffalo Soldiers shirt that contained text that describes Indigenous peoples as “Indian opponents," “antagonists” and “enemies of peace, order, and settlement.” 🥴
Black and Indigenous fans have been expressing their disappointment online, citing the complex legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers. "This is not the flex you think it is, beyonce," one fan commented.

What do you make of this? Misstep, mistake, or something deeper? Should artists be more careful when referencing historical U.S. symbols? 💭⤵️
