On the evening of June 25th I was passing through Sidney, Montana on my way to Canada to chase storms. To my surprise, a massive fire was underway with no fire crews on scene yet. After calling it in, I launched my drone for a better view while I waited on emergency crews to arrive. I held back, while zoomed in on the drone when all of a sudden a massive explosion from a propane or oil tank ignited a chain reaction of explosions sending a shock wave towards town and my vehicle and sent the tank hundreds of feet into the air before crashing back down to earth.
