Mohamed Saaed said people stopped coming to his grocery store out of fear of being deported. “People are scared. They don’t want to go outside. They say, ‘If I go outside, there is ICE and Immigration, they’re gonna take us. We’re gonna lose everything,’” Saaed says. “Everybody is staying home.” But rather than sit and wait for customers to return, Saaed hit the road. He began offering free home deliveries.
