When pressed by a reporter about the lack of acknowledgment of a female pilot involved in the U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth affirmed his support for all service members and criticized what he described as an excessive focus on gender. “I don’t care if it’s a male or a female in that cockpit and the American people don’t care ... We don’t do that anymore. We don’t play your little games,” Hegseth said on Thursday during a press briefing.
