Help protect Arizona's wild jaguars from mining. Arizona's rare and elusive jaguars depend on the remote, rugged terrain of the Patagonia Mountains to move safely between Mexico and Arizona. Yet the U.S. Forest Service is speeding along approvals for a massive mine planned at the heart of that exact region. And it's not fully evaluating how the mine will harm the health and habitat of jaguars, Mexican spotted owls, and yellow-billed cuckoos — all federally protected animals who live in the area. This is a defining moment for desert biodiversity. You can help. Speak up for Arizona jaguars, owls, and cuckoos by telling the Forest Service to fully investigate how the mine could threaten them and their habitats! šŸ“¹: peccary_not_pig / Center for Biological Diversity [Video description: A jaguar captured at night on a trail camera in Arizona.] #jaguar #bigcatconservation #arizonawildlife #trailcam #trailcamera #wildlifeconservation
