A Historic Chapter Comes Down in Harrisburg, PA Once a cornerstone of Pennsylvania’s mental health system, the Harrisburg State Hospital served the community for over 150 years before closing its doors in 2006. Its grand architecture and sprawling grounds were a defining presence in the region. Now, that chapter is coming to a close. We had the opportunity to film the ongoing demolition of the site, capturing the impressive work being done by FR Beinke Wrecking as they carefully dismantle this historic property.
