Replying to @Heidigirlxoxo On June 30th, the Dept of Defense will shut down a critical satellite data feed used in hurricane forecasting with no real explanation. The microwave satellite data helps us see inside tropical cyclones: tracking the center, spotting early intensification, and guiding models. Without it, forecasts will be less accurate, especially overnight and in the early stages of a storm.
