Recently I talked about becoming obsessed with an idea, with a goal, and turning it to your reality. Obsession was part of how I continued my life after I became paralyzed. But I think Desperation as well is just as important to be talked about because I was probably more desperate than anything to get back to a somewhat normal life. I was desperate to drive again, I was desperate to cut hair again, I was desperate to eat at a restaurant alone again, I was desperate to take myself to the mall again, everything I used to do I just wanted it back. I so desperately wanted a normal life again. But more than anything I wanted to cut hair again because I felt like I had so many people counting on me to come back.
