The Fill It Up Regulars win! ⛏️ The Fill It Up Regulars edged the Tri-City ValleyCats in a slugfest, 8-6, on Alter Ego Night at Skylands Stadium. Alec Sayre’s only hit was a big one. The right fielder’s second-inning grand slam put the Fill It Up Regulars up 4-0, and they never looked back. Mahki Backstrom and Sean Roby Jr. hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the fifth. Backstrom’s shot had an exit velocity of 114 MPH. Roby Jr.’s blast traveled a whopping 435 feet. Starting pitcher Kellen Brothers (W, 4-1, 4.47 ERA) tossed six solid innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four. Matt Stil (S, 3) picked up the save.
