#BlackMusicMonthSpotlight: Dr. Cornelius Johnson⁠ ⁠ For Dr. Cornelius Johnson, music and Morehouse are part of a deeply rooted family tradition. A third-generation Morehouse Man, Dr. Johnson followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both proud alumni of the College. As a student, he majored in music and was a distinguished member of the world-renowned Morehouse College Glee Club, touring the country and sharing the stage with voices of excellence.⁠ ⁠ His experience at Morehouse was nothing short of transformative. From the cultural pride of Atlanta to the vibrant campus life, he found community, purpose, and a lifelong commitment to Black excellence. As a founding member of the College’s chapter of the musical fraternity Phi Mu Alpha, he helped expand the reach of Morehouse’s musical legacy.⁠ ⁠ Today, Dr. Johnson serves as a passionate educator at City Colleges of Chicago, where he shares his love for music and commitment to excellence with a new generation of students. ...
