Not every disability is visible. Some are just not obvious - this can include being deaf or hard of hearing! The last time I traveled I wore my
HDSunflower.us lanyard. I found my first one at the San Jose Airport and it was so helpful! I haven’t seen many spots displaying their lanyards and cards but I have asked several information desks and about 20% of the time they know what I”m talking about and have them to provide. At San Jose, the airport staff and employees knew immediately that I might need extra support and were quick to ask or offer. The Sunflower is recognized as a symbol for people with non-visible disabilities.
