Wait til the end 😮— ever forgotten the return hike?? Remember: “what goes up”… • ⚠️ TIPS to ClIMB #HalfDome SAFELY ⚠️ • 🥾 Wear hiking shoes with good grip! • 🧤Wear gloves! Ideally they’ll have some rubber to grip onto the chains. They don’t have to be fancy! I even found a grippy pair of garden gloves at dollartree and livewhatyoufear picked some up at the gas station 👏🏼. • 🧗Clip yourself to the cables— we saw others who harnessed themselves to each chain as they progressed. I will definitely do this next time! • 🚽 Don’t guzzle tons of water prior to getting on the cables. In fact, I ran behind a bush just before climbing! 😬 • ⏰ We scored backcountry permits allowing us to be on the cables by 8am.
