Portland might be one of the quietest cities on Earth, at least according to a new study from a German-based car rental company called Sixt. “With a noise score of just 47.13, a lower-than-average population density, and the highest volume of top Google reviews mentioning words like ‘peaceful’ and ‘tranquil,’ Portland stands out as a serene destination,” the phone company wrote in their description of our fair city.
