When did empathy become a liability in politics? Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) points out something important — online, grace and empathy have been largely pushed aside. People’s patience has run thin, and the response has been to shut down dialogue altogether. Trying to engage across differences is often met with suspicion or hostility. But outside the noise of social media, there’s a real appetite for something more. People want less conflict and more space to acknowledge that, despite our differences, common ground exists. Empathy doesn’t mean surrendering your principles. It means recognizing the humanity in others, even when you disagree. It’s a difficult but necessary step if we want to move beyond division and actually make progress. #Politics #Empathy #Grace #Democrat #Republican #Humanity
