To show my support for the LGBTQIA+ community, I donated #lgbtq books in little free libraries throughout the Sacramento area this Pride Month. One of the best ways to teach empathy, acceptance and compassion is through stories, and thanks to First Book’s Book Bank, my nonprofit was able to share davidlevithan’s BOY MEETS BOY and ericbellwriter ‘s ALAN COLE DOESN’T DANCE all over my city. This project was very important to me as I am a huge supporter of reading and sharing diverse stories, and I believe everyone has the right, and deserves, to love whomever they want.
