Amidst racing, I watched joe_rucco put on a masterclass performance, run 110 miles, and win the whole thing. Un-f*cking-real. Being able to go out on course with him and Kevin for a victory lap is a rare & unforgettable shared moment. Behind the scenes, bubblestheclowne and I raced Team Relay (teams of 2 or more) and racked up 110 miles of our own—65-55 miles respectively. We landed 4th overall after 24:52:25. Not too shabby for a 2-man, non-ultra running unit! I loved every part of this race. Course was scenically beautiful but no joke. Obstacles were innovative & challenging with a nice surprise change around midnight. Plus, I'll never turn down the opportunity to race with Kev, any format.
