A fallen officer escort for Deputy Brandon Gaede passed through Hays on Tuesday as he was transported from Wichita to Phillipsburg. Gaede was fatally shot Friday while responding to a call in Phillipsburg. He is survived by his wife, Karlye, and their three children. Funeral services for Gaede will be at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday at the Huck Boyd Community Center in Phillipsburg.
