Marathon Training is going to include small set backs that I can’t anticipate. My goal was to run my first beach run for 10 miles! But at mile 6.5, I started to have foot pain and I had to stop, rest & stretch. I felt safe enough to push through to mile 8, but I knew I had to listen to my body & end my run.
My mom has always been supportive & encouraging when I set new goals in life… so when I asked if she would ride the golf cart during my run, she didn’t hesitate! She had snacks, water & even helped me stretch.
I learned a lot about my body during this run & I’m so glad my mom was with me to get me through!
