By the time the 2025 outdoor high school track season finally wrapped up with nationals, Spring Valley's Tanyiah Joseph was somewhere she could never have imagined being just a year earlier. Joseph, who only began running track as a junior and transferring from Ramapo, is now No. 1 all-time among Rockland girl sprinters in the 100-meter dash. Her 11.81 clocking at New Balance Outdoor Nationals also places her third all-time in Section 1. That was only part of an outstanding spring season for Joseph, who has gone from a non-athlete, cheering on friends, to state medalist in little more than a year. Now, she's readying to compete for Div. I Norfolk State University. Joseph heads this year's Journal News/lohud Rockland girls all-stars, which include nine other girls who medaled at the state championships in individual events and many others who did so in relays. šŸ”— : The list of all-stars in each event can be found at our link in bio. šŸ“ø: Tania Savayan taniasavayan āœ: Nancy Haggerty n...
