What is Denim Day?
Let’s talk about it.
Denim Day is a campaign to raise awareness about sexual assault and victim-blaming.
It started after a court in Italy overturned a sexual assault conviction...
because the survivor was wearing tight jeans.
The court claimed the jeans were “too tight” to be removed without her help,
implying consent.
That is not how consent works.
What you wear is never an excuse for violence.
On Denim Day, we wear jeans to support survivors
and to take a stand against harmful myths.
Let’s build a culture of respect, consent, and awareness—
starting right here at school.
This year, Denim Day is April 30th, 2025.
Wear your jeans. Make a statement.
Support survivors.
Challenge victim-blaming. #denimday Host: @gracenicoleedmonds Content editor: @abdiiiels
