As a coach, I have to admit that it brought a huge smile to my face hearing the announcer mention how well Colton was controlling the first shot and not letting up a lot of second opportunities. Colton has worked extremely hard at this over the last couple months and I’m glad to see he is being rewarded at the right time. Show me a goaltender who can control the amount of opportunities, and I will show you a goaltender that pulls out clutch performances when needed. If this skill can be emphasized and integrated by young students, they become very formidable as they get older and mature. Excellent job, Colton, and I am very proud of you.
