AFSCME District 33 and the City of Philadelphia have resumed negotiations as workers continue their second day on strike, according to union leaders.
DC 33 represents thousands of city workers, including trash collectors, 911 dispatchers, airport maintenance workers, employees with the Philadelphia Water Department and more.
On Monday, the union left negotiations with Mayor Cherelle Parker's administration without a new contract in place and started striking at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
