Ferrari team tactics early on in the French Grand Prix saw pole-sitter Schumacher sprint away while teammate Rubens Barrichello held up McLaren's David Coulthard, but a loss of tyre performance after Schumacher's first stop meant he fell back into the clutches of Coulthard, who received some robust defending - and made his feelings clear about it! 🖕 Coulthard passed Schumacher later in the stint, and despite a litany of mechanical issues severely limiting his running time across the weekend, he won the race comfortably, leading a McLaren 1-2.
