Remembering when I walked in a fashion show during the Paris Olympics and I have so much to say about it! 1. The event was to celebrate parity between men’s and women’s sports at the Paris Olympic Games. Equal women and men were competing in the games for the first time ever with equal amount of medals given! 2. I represented the Paralympians, walking alongside 24 other legendary female Olympians, I was truly humbled, To walk alongside those trailblazing athletes! 3. I would have been equally as proud to use my scooter walking alongside these incredible women. In fact, I used my scooter before and after I walked, but I am grateful that as I was slowly getting my leg to fit better after my injury, I now have more mobility options and mobility = freedom which includes wheelchair, scooter, crutches, legs , etc. So, although it is an accomplishment for me to be able to walk more comfortable the real thing I’m celebrating today is the women in sport and possibility!
