Leading the way in innovation, TSgt Collin Stratton, a fuels support NCO-in-charge with the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron, has created a way to streamline taking fuel samples for aircraft fuel evaluation. Known as the single-point nozzle adapter, or SN, this innovation has refined the process for taking fuel samples from multiple sources and removed almost any possibility of direct exposure from spillage or hazardous spray. Fuel sampling is imperative to ensure no water or contaminants enter the fuel and disrupt the aircraft’s engines. With the help of Air Force innovation competitions, Airmen across the nation can enter to receive funding to develop, create and test their ideas for the future of our forces.
