The project, led by UBC professor Dr. Stefan Dollinger, represents the first major update to the dictionary since 2017—and only the second since its launch in 1967. Over three years, Dr. Dollinger and his team tracked how uniquely Canadian terms emerge, evolve and persist. The result?
