Back with the rest of the Met Gala exhibit. I *love* this stuff. This is my selection of modern pieces from the exhibit. These were all raised up higher than the eye-level history, an intentional move in the architecture to send an uplifting message towards the future. 1. Balmain. The pants are *track pants*. Thats cool. 2-3. Wales Bonner. The left fit in 2 is the cover you've probably seen for the exhibit. 4. Ralph Lauren's Morehouse college collection. 5-6. Travel-inspired clothing from Labrum. 7-9. Louis Vuitton. I think most of my favorites come from Virgil, but Pharell's tenure there is just starting, and he's already had some hits. 10. This coat from Kwasi Paul spoke to me. Not sure why. 11. Fear of God had a few pieces highlighted, and while the leather jacket was cool as hell, I enjoyed this look more. 12. Patience Torlowei for André Leon Talley.
