Have a small shrub you would like to remove from your yard?
We’re going to tell you how to do it by hand ⬇️⬇️⬇️
___
-Measure 20 inches from the ground and cutoff all the branches above the ground.
-Leave a couple branches (3-5) that connect to the trunk of the shrub incase you have to use a truck to pull it out.
-Dig all around the shrub with a shovel and separating the roots as you dig. Do this until the trunk is free/very loose.
-If you hit a thick root try to break through it with an ax or a saw and pull it out if possible.
-Remove the biggest roots possible. Trying to remove all of them will not be effective as you only need to get rid of the big roots to remove the shrub.
-Once it is very loose try to pull the shrub out the ground. If that does not work then use a shovel as leverage by sticking it under the shrub (perpendicular to the shrub) and push the shovel down.
-Remember to smooth the soil over once you remove the shrub.
