There’s potentially a big change coming to European travel.
Last month, European lawmakers voted in favour of a new proposal that would allow passengers to bring a small carry-on bag weighing up to 7kg - free of charge and even on budget airlines.
Under the proposed changes, you would be able to bring one cabin bag, up to 100cm, on board, on-top of an under-the-seat personal bag at no additional cost.
However, don’t go grabbing your bag just yet…
This proposed law still needs to be approved by 55% of EU member states, and if approved could roll out for all flights within the EU, and routes to and from the EU as well.
This proposal is part of a larger push by the European Parliament to protect the rights of travellers, while they are also looking at how families with young children can sit together on flights without an extra charge.
What do you think of the proposed change?
