Meet our Special Olympics Directors 🐻‍❄️🧊 Allison Pedersen and Lydia Appeldorn! As Special Olympics Directors they work directly with the Special Olympics of Iowa to put on events such as Athlete Dinner, Unified Fest, and Polar Bear Plunge to support Special Olympics athletes. Allison is from West Des Moines, Iowa, she’s majoring in Psychology. Allison’s fun fact is she sprained her ankle and broke her finger by falling over nothing (two separate times) 😂 Lydia is from Waukee, Iowa. She’s majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education.
