If I only had a moment with a deaf or hard of hearing child, I’d teach them this:
👉 “My hearing device isn’t working — can I go get help?”
It’s short. It’s powerful. It teaches them that asking for help is advocacy—and they are allowed to speak up for what they need. 💪💛
Every DHH child deserves to feel confident, included, and heard—even in the everyday moments.
✨ Parents, educators, and allies—save this, teach it, and share it. Let’s raise self-advocates.
