lesson 27 of 30 ↣ find your 𝒘𝒉𝒚. my biggest peeve is when I see immensely talented people who opt for the status quo, but in their heart of hearts, they're secretly yearning for something else. for the sake of comfort and familiarity, they stay in their jobs, relationships, cities. it usually takes something dramatic to happen for real change to actually occur. by that time, sooo much time passes that it can feel regretful. so for anything and everything I do, I take the extra 10 steps to do the due diligence and really hash out my why in that pursuit. why tech? why product? why this company? why content? why music? why this event? why this nonprofit? i'm perhaps the polar opposite of the "go with the flow" friend. i treat growing up like it's a craft - full of thought and intention.
