The unfortunate politics of dog training fragments the community. People in judgement of how dogs are spoken to, played with, enriched, educated, and of course, trained. The irony is not lost on me that a lot of this comes from the “reinforcement based community.“ When I heard this passage from Deepak Chopra, the duality of it struck me. We could be talking about an approach to dog training, or we could be talking about inspiring change from other dog trainers rather than trying to control the choices of others.
