Tonight, we had the honor of recognizing Cecil Newcomb as our Mass State Lottery Hero of the Game. Cecil Newcomb has shown exceptional service and bravery as a military member. We are grateful for your dedication and service. Cecil, a helicopter crew chief serving in Vietnam, flew over 600 missions in his Sea Knight CH46 twin rotor helicopter, first introduced in Vietnam and used in combat in Afghanistan. Cecil is also a life long resident of Orleans, who was a BAT BOY for the Orleans Cardinals team in the 1950s.  To show our gratitude, Cecil Newcomb will receive a team-signed baseball with a special “Thank you for your service” message.
