Novak Djokovic became just the second man ever to win 100 matches at Wimbledon on Saturday with a 6-3, 6-0, 6-4 victory over Serbian compatriot Miomir Kecmanović.
Only Roger Federer, with 105, has won more men’s singles matches at the All England Club. On the women’s side, Martina Navratilova holds the record, with 120.
Rafael Nadal – the other member of men’s tennis’ “Big Three” – holds the record for most wins in a men’s major tournament, having claimed 112 victories at the French Open.
“Any history that I make in my favorite tournament, I’m blessed,” Djokovic said in his on-court interview on Saturday. In his bid to equal Federer’s record of eight men’s singles titles at Wimbledon, the 38-year-old will face Alex de Minaur in the Round of 16 on Monday.
