π Step-by-Step Chiffon Draping Folding & Storage β My Way
No floors. No tables. No drama.
1. Hook One Corner
β’ I start by hooking one corner of the drape to a wall or secured spot β this gives me a fixed anchor point.
β’ It stays clean, off the ground, and ready to move.
2. Extend the Fabric
β’ I walk the fabric out, keeping light tension so it stays straight.
β’ No bunching, no dragging β just smooth handling.
3. Fold While Standing
β’ I fold it accordion-style while standing, moving with the material as I go.
β’ Forward, back. Forward, back β like a fan.
β’ This keeps it wrinkle-free and quick to deploy at the next event.
4. Secure the Fold
β’ Once folded, I use soft ties (Velcro, ribbon, or elastics) to secure the middle and ends.
β’ Never rubber bands β they crease and damage the chiffon.
5. Store Vertically
β’ I stand the folded bundle upright in bins or labeled bags.
β’ Everything stays organized, easy to grab, and event-ready.
