🏎️ Enzo Anselmo Ferrari (February 18, 1898 – August 14, 1988) was an Italian race driver turned automotive visionary: after competing for Alfa Romeo in the early 1920s and winning multiple Grands Prix, he founded Scuderia Ferrari in 1929 and, following a post-war split from Alfa, launched Ferrari S.p.A. in 1947 in Maranello. Driven by an unwavering passion for racing, he financed his team through the sale of road cars, introduced the now-iconic prancing-horse emblem in honor of WWI ace Francesco Baracca, and under his autocratic leadership led Ferrari to nine Formula One drivers’ titles and eight constructors’ crowns during his lifetime.
