SWIPE! ⬅️ The Ferrari F50 GT, developed in 1996, was a track-focused evolution of the F50 road car, designed to compete in the GT1 class against rivals like the McLaren F1 GTR.
It featured a highly tuned 4.7-liter V12 producing around 750 hp at 10,500 rpm, paired with a sequential six-speed gearbox, and weighed just 860 kg.
Despite achieving faster lap times than Ferrari’s own 333 SP prototype, the project was shelved after only three were built due to changing homologation rules and Ferrari’s decision to prioritize Formula 1.
The surviving cars were sold privately under strict agreements never to be raced, making the F50 GT one of Ferrari’s most extreme and elusive creations.
