My 🧡 goes out to all who are hurting this week. As the news of the hostages continues to unfold, the silence from so many supposed progressive and liberal people across the west is deafening. This post is not about excusing antisemitism or selective outrage. It’s a reminder to anyone who is a Zionist, sympathetic to Israel, or a friend of the Jewish community that it is actually on us to have hard conversations with other people. I was eventually able to help this friend I mention learn and see what’s happening. It took time but it was worth it. Remember that sometimes slow is smooth, smooth is steady and steady means you can bring them far. And if that doesn’t work, you can use a more direct approach.
